ABOUT POLYURETHANE

Polyurethane (PUR and PU) is a polymer composed of organic units joined by carbamate (urethane) links. Polyurethane polymers are most commonly formed by reacting a di- or tri poly-isocyanate with polyol (polyester polyol or polyether polyol) and catalysts, such as amine. Most polyurethane is a thermoplastic type of plastic which cannot be melted and molded again. Polyurethane is highly flexible and durable and used in various forms of production in the industry, The most common polyurethane products are pillows, shoes, car accessories, bumper cars, car seats. Shockproof foam in the packaging box , Electronic Devices and some of medical devices PU foam can be divided into mainly 2 types: Flexible PU Foam Rigid PU Foam Semi Rigid PU Foam

  1. Flexible PU foam is a soft foam, Low density and lightweight. When the impact or pressure that causes the flexion of the Flexible PU foam will return to its original state. And can be molded and formed only when the foam is in the process of setting If the setting is already done or molded, it will not be able to change the format again. Flex PU Foam is mainly used to make furniture, cushions, armchairs, boxing and sleeping cushions etc.
  2. Rigid PU Foam is a hard foam, High density and lightweight as same as the Flexible PU Foam but has a stronger structure and more resistance to high pressure
Including have more thermal insulation value than the Flexible PU Foam. The Rigid PU Foam is mostly used in the construction industry; a thermal insulation for walls, roofs and floors etc
  3. Semi Rigid PU Foam is the adjustable medium to hard foam as density and weight are between medium to high,
as well as having a strong structure, more resistance to high pressure and a thermal insulation value greater than Rigid Pu Foam. The Semi Rigid PU Foam is mostly used in the footwear industry, such as shoe soles, safety shoes used in Industrial plants, construction, etc.
